Recommended Blog Alert: I am a Reader not a Writer

About the blog?
Blog Shot
Kathy is the founder and regular blogger over at 'I am a Reader not a Writer' blog. The name of the site clearly gives the game away; Kathy loves to read. To date, Kathy has reviewed 120 books, as estimated by her archives. The reviews are succinct and to the point, without giving the game away. To add to her impressive collection of reviews are other goodies such as interviews, regular giveaways, Book Blast and Blog Tours plus much, much more.

It's always exciting waiting for the next post to arrive...

Why recommend I am a Reader not a Writer?
I am a Reader not a Writer is a very comprehensive blog about books. It doesn't try to be anything else than a site made for book lovers by a book lover. What I find most interesting is that the blog packs so much in. For a tiny site you really do get your money's worth.

From a solid reviews, the blog really brings the foreground new talent and I really like how Kathy promotes those books she loves. A sister site, Book Blasts & Blog Tours, is a promotional platform for authors to market their book(s). I don't know many blogs which host such means for authors to promote their work to the indie market.

I also adore the template \ appearance of the blog. Everything from the title page to the buttons to the gadgets are designed very professionally.

Bloggers Say
Why did you start blogging? Two reasons - I was reading a lot and wanted to have a place to share what I was reading other than my family blog.  Posts on books were beginning to overtake it.  The other reason is I wanted to sign up for ARC tours and to do so required an active book blog.

How often do you blog and what are you posts generally about? I spend time on my blog almost everyday, usually way too much time.  Reviews, hops, giveaways, memes... a little bit of everything.

What is your favourite book you've reviewed to date and why? Do I really have to pick just one?  You wouldn't ask me to pick my favorite child would you?  I better go with a classic Pride & Prejudice.

Lastly, what post and features can your followers expect to see in the future? Hopefully more reviews.  In 2012 I fell way behind on my reviews and am committed to get more posted in 2013.

No worries - I started featuring recommended sites on my blog for that very reason; to promote them! If poss, let Kathy know you found the site via Verdict - it shows that such features work in obtaining new followers.
